Mr. Chonayut Nilpanich, Head of the Port Administration Division, together with the management team and staff of Prachuap Port Co., Ltd., and Mr. Thitipong Khamphui, Chief of Prachuap Khiri Khan Customs House, along with officers from the Prachuap Khiri Khan Customs Office, visited and conducted a study tour on port operations and logistics management at Hutchison Ports Thailand (HPT).
During the visit, the delegation was introduced to operational practices in berth management and logistics systems. They were also given a tour of the remote-control operations room for container handling equipment, which utilizes one of the most advanced technologies in modern port operations. In addition, the delegation learned about the development of Smart Port initiatives, focusing on operational efficiency, safety, and environmental responsibility—such as the adoption of clean energy and electric equipment to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
The visit took place at the Visitor Centre of Hutchison Ports Thailand (HPT). On this occasion, both parties also exchanged perspectives on enhancing logistics collaboration, strengthening regional transportation connectivity, and improving service capabilities to support the future growth of international trade. The insights gained from this visit will be further applied to enhance operational practices and management at Prachuap Port.
